Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the basic types of questions for our customers. For more
information please contact us.

Q.

Why buy from you? What makes you so special?

Velosity offers unique and exclusive benefits Velosity. It is our aim to ensure each and every customer experiences the maximum of these benefits, enabling them to improve their business.

Q.

What happens if I wait?

Your team will continue to struggle to generate accurate quotes quickly. Your team will continue to spend time updating a production schedule manually. Incremental revenue and profits will be left on the table.

Q.

What exactly am I signing up for? What are the features and benefits?

First, you will sign up for a Velosity launch. This comes with a one-time payment. In the onboarding phase, you will be coached and trained by a dedicated account manager. We will ensure that we come to know your specific situation, your shop and your processes - and will help you set up Velosity such that you get the most of it. The Velosity launch also ensures that your team is trained to successfully use the product on your own.

Second, you are signing up for the subscription. This is a monthly or annual payment. Both the amount and the set of features depend on the modules you select. With Velosity, you only pay for what you use. We use the Velosity launch to make sure that you just use and pay those features that you necessarily require for your shop. Independent of your choice of modules, you will benefit from faster quoting and automated production scheduling. You will increase your on-time deliveries, you will cut your lead times, and you will grow your throughput.

Q.

What's included in the Velosity launch?

The Velosity launch is a collaborative getting started process modeled from customer success experience. Here is what it includes:

  • Implementation manager
  • Access to Velosity video academy
  • Individual coaching & go-live web sessions
  • Setup of products, attributes, rules, tasks unique to your operation
  • We'll actually spend a lot of time with and energy for you. We limit the Velosity launch to 5 customers concurrently
Q.

Are there any long-term contracts?

This is up to you. We offer monthly subscriptions. They make sure that you remain very flexible and that you can cancel at the end of every month. However, if you like, you can also sign up for an annual subscription and pay one year in advance (at a better monthly rate).

Q.

How do I present this to my team?

You have two options to present this to your team: first, you can show them a video or recorded webinar. Second, you can book a meeting with us and invite your team for an introduction to Velosity.

Q.

Is Velosity cloud-only?

Yes, Velosity is a cloud-only product. There is no option to install it in your environment.
We typically update the product every four to six weeks. Having it as cloud-only product helps us to keep all customers current at any time, and also makes sure that you immediately can benefit from our investments.

Q.

Who are you guys, anyway?

We are Velosity based in Houston, TX. Our company was founded in 2020 to solve the problem of quoting for make-to-order products. Velosity was the result of this work.

Q.

What results will I actually get from this?

You will deliver quotes to customers dramatically faster (10X+) making your salesteam significantly more effective. Because the production router and BOM are defined and known at quoting, customers can be told an accurate leadtime quickly. In many cases you will win the order because of 1) responsiveness, 2) delivery certainty - leading to higher revenue and profits.

Q.

What does it integrate with?

Velosity is a stand-alone quoting & production scheduling application. All data can be exported to Microsoft Excel. Importing of selected data from Excel is possible (Customers, Items, Item Mapping).

We are able to integrate Velosity with various ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, shoptech, iSync, JobBoss and others. An interface with your ERP system is ideally bidirectional. Customers and Items are pulled from ERP. Quotes live in Velosity only. Sales Orders (including router and BOM!) and pushed to your ERP.

Velosity has an API which allows customers to develop integrations specific to their systems and processes.

Q.

How secure is my data?

Velosity is hosted on a very robust cloud provider which has comprehensive compliance coverage. The application is designed around the latest state of the art practices for security and extensibility.
