New Features: Item Serialization and Traceability

Velosity automates the Quoting + Scheduling process by automatically creating the router and Bill of Material via Smart Quote. A Sales person can determine a price for any complex build-to-order product or service and know an accurate delivery date at in less than 60 seconds (use of Velosity Scheduling Engine required)!

Many companies in the build-to-order business are required to document serial numbers and lot numbers during the production process. This information is required by various industry audit groups and quality standards. Recording this data is often done with Excel files when not possible with ERP (if in use).

Velosity now supports the updating of Serial Numbers and Lot Numbers for any Production Order. The definition of whether serialization or traceability is required is setup at the Item level. We will briefly show how supports this via two new features.

2) Production Order Detail - Select Serial Numbers or Lot Numbers

To update serial numbers or lot numbers, click on Update, then the desired option. If serilaiztion nor traceabiliy are not required for this particular production order, these menu items won't be present (streamlinedd user experience).

3) Serial Number Update

The available items requiring serial numbers are listed. Click on Add to expand a form to enter the Serial Number, then click Add. The serial number will be shown in the top list. Serial numbers may be added for the total quantity of that item for the production order quantity.

4) Lot Number Update

The available items requiring lot numbers are listed. Click on Add to expand a form to enter the Lot Number, then click Add. The lot number will be shown in the top list. As many lot numbers as required can be added for the production order.
